Ingredients

Gram Flour 1 1/2 Kg

Rice Powder 1/2 Kg

Sugar 1 Kg

Cardamom Powder 1/2tsp

Coconut Oil as required


Directions

Dissolve sugar in one cup water. Boil this syrup in a vessel, stirring constantly till one thread consistency is reached. Keep it aside.

In another bowl mix the gram flour(kadala mavu) and rice powder. Slowly add warm water and knead the dough with hands.

Heat oil in a vessel, press the dough through the mould of a seva press into it and fry it till golden brown.

Add fried seva into the sugar syrup. Stir it well and allow it to cool. store it in an airtight conatiners.

Tips of the day
Removed side crusts of bread can be dried in oven till crisp, cooled and ground to use as bread bread crumbs.
