Fried cauliflower with spices and soya sauce

Ingredients

Cauliflower 1
Onion 1
Capsicum 1
Egg 1
Ginger a small piece
Garlic 2 cloves
Green chilli 3
Pepper powder 1 tbs
Spring onion chopped 3 tsp
Celery chopped 3 tsp
Corn flour 5 tsp
All purpose flour 5 tsp
Tomato sauce 2 tbsp
Soya sauce 2 tsp
Oil as required
Salt as per taste


Directions

Cut cauliflower into small flowerets. Mix the all purpose flour, corn flour(both should be equal quantity) beaten egg, salt, chilli powder, soya sauce and pepper powder to make a paste. Add the cauliflower to the paste and let it for half an hour.

Heat some oil in a pan add the cauliflower pieces. Fry till golden brown and keep it aside.

Heat a little oil in a pan and fry the onions, capsicum, ginger and garlic pieces and green chilly.Then add tomato sauce, pepper powder, soya sauce, celery, sping onion, salt and fried cauliflower. Mix corn flour in a little water and add that in to the gravy. Cook till it becomes thick.

The recipe calls for tomato sauce, but the list of ingredients doesn\'t tell me how much. How much, and what kind of tomato sauce should be used?

Tips of the day
While make any deep fried dish, if the hot oil starts foaming and rises in the pan, add a small piece of tamarind to the oil to prevent foaming and spill over.
